Matthew and I arrived in Budapest today. We had the option of staying with my brother, or in a hotel. Since my brother lives in the outskirts (Pestszentimre, anyone?) and most of our appointments were in the inner districts and Buda, we opted for a not-too expensive though fully wheelchair accessible hotel. Since I'm here on business I only have to pay Matthew's way, and a buffet breakfast and room service are well worth the money!
After arriving in Budapest, I took Matthew to his first appointment, dropped him off there and went to a meeting myself. It was a bittersweet occasion, as it was the wrap-up meeting for a project I have been involved in for the last 9 months. Afterwards picked the kid up, went to dinner, came back to the hotel, where my kid presented me with a Twilight poster he got at his appointment.
Kid is now in bed, and I'm watching CSI: Ginger Man with Sunglasses.
