My Grandpa passed away earlier today.
He was born into the tragedy that's known as the First World War. He grew into a man during the nightmare that was the Holocaust. He came to Israel to raise a family in peace. He was greatly saddened by everything that happened in the days following the declaration of independence. He hoped to help the people of his birth country and the country of his people.
He lived a long and full life. He was loved by many and he loved unconditionaly. He sent out an average of 400 birthday cards a year, and he came up with the best gift ideas.
He was in love with his wife even after 70 years of dating and marriage.
He will be missed.
