Generations in Central and Eastern Europe grew up on the sweet adventures of the little mole and his friends: the rabbits, mice, birds of the forest.
These little cartoons usually contained next to nothing in spoken language, and therefore they were enjoyable of children of various nationalities without much effort wasted on dubbing. That said, when I bought a DVD for my kids with 6 episodes without any words spoken, I couldn't start it without selevting one of the 6 languages... go figure.
May he rest in peace. We have several DVDs and also books! Kisvakond is one of the cutest cartoons ever :)
